I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BoConcept (New York, NY) in Apr 2012
Interview
I applied online and received an reply to interview within an hour. The day on the interview, I arrived early and was kept waiting 45 minutes. There were several people interviewing and they were 'backed up'. When it was my turn i asked "Long day of interviews?", my interviewer said "Yes, and I'm over it." I did not interview with the person I was told to ask for. I was wearing a suit, my interviewer wore an unbuttoned plaid shirt and looked like he worked in the stock dept. The ad I responded said they were looking for someone with a 'passion for interior design', but during the interview the job is only 5% design and 95% sales.
I was truly surprised when I received an invite for a second interview. This manager was more professional in dress and manner. Knowing about their company is paramount to them.
