The interview process at Bolt was a comprehensive and well-structured experience for a front-end developer position. Here's how it went for me:
Initial Screening
Technical Interview
System Design Interview
Final Interview (Culture Fit):

Question 1
I was contacted by a recruiter shortly after applying. The call was mainly focused on my background, why I was interested in Bolt, and a bit about my experience. It was a friendly and straightforward conversation that also gave me insight into the company culture.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bolt
Interview
Initial interview with a recruiter asking about previous experience etc .
Take home test: Query two apis and display them as a list and map.
The test had very loose requirements in terms of what functionality they were looking for
I did not pass the test and received no feedback as to what was missing from my solution.
The response I received was :
After an in-depth discussion and careful consideration we regret to have to inform you that we have decided to proceed with other candidates that meet our requirements more closely. This is in no way a judgement of your expertise or personality but merely related to our specific needs for this position.
I was disappointed with the response as I expected some sort of feedback as to what I was missing skill wise or what was wrong with my submission for the take home test.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bolt (Tallinn) in Mar 2018
Interview
Although I enjoyed having interviews with engineers, overall the hiring process was poorly organized and the communications were broken. I got through screening, technical interview and coding challenge, and even though I was initially reached out by the company, I had to wait a lot to get a response for my messages. At the end I simply wasn't given an alternative time for an on-site meeting, and decided to give up with the opportunity. I hope that one day the hiring process in the company will catch up with the quality of the platform.

Question 1
Propose a solution to a simple algorithmic challenge using a limited subset of JavaScript.
Thank you very much for this review, it's sad to hear that you've had a negative experience.
We will do our best to improve our response time and have already taken steps towards it.
Unfortunately it's a little bit harder to arrange on-site meetings outside of working hours but we are also working on this.
