I applied for a position on the website, but an HR person reached out to me via LinkedIn wanting to schedule a phone screening with me, I responded to him and scheduled a time for the phone screening. Right after this conversation, another HR person wanted to do a phone screening for the same position. In order not to miss this opportunity, I scheduled both phone screenings and informed the first contact about the mix up and asked him who I should be talking to. He didn't respond until the phone screening, and he terminated the interview and told me to talk to the second person. The second person never showed up online for the scheduled interview, no prior notice, no request for cancellation, she simply just was a no show.
I prepared for the interview, took my time to set up the electronics, camera, put on a suit and sat there waiting for her for 30 minutes while missing my current work.
I sent emails to both contacts asking why I was stood up and no response at all.
This is highly unprofessional and disrespectful to me and my time. I understand the company is very well known and many people want to work there, but simply ignoring a candidate, not showing up for the interview, then refusing to inform me about why they stood me up is extremely rude and unacceptable.
If employees are the best assets to a company, this experience is telling me otherwise at Boston scientific.
I'm very disappointed and I don't think I'll explore opportunities in this company.
