Brand View interview questions

I applied by email with my cv and was contacted by the internal recruiter for an interview. The first interview was with the recruiter and hiring manager and involved lots of questions about my experience, skills and personality. I was invited back for a second interview with hiring manager, internal recruiter and one of the founders where I had to give a presentation on two marketing tasks (took me a weekend to put together). I wasn't successful, the recruiter citing 'profile and skill set' as the reasons why. Shame really, because they should have known that after the first interview rather than waste my time with a task.

The interview itself was OK, one of the interviewers was very friendly and welcoming however the other was extremely stand-offish and given they were going to be managing the role I was interviewing for, it put me off instantly. I was told that a decision would be made in the next couple of days and I would hear shortly. After a week had passed, I had to follow up myself for feedback. I completely understand that I was not the person they were looking for but I was surprised that no one thought to contact me to inform me of that!
