The interview process at Braze seemed idyllic, open, and with genuine connection with the staff that would eventually become your coworker should you be hired. Each 30 minute interview allowed for a surprisingly conversational set-up, allowing me to ask as many questions as I was to ask of them. The interview process followed the below structure:
-Initial 30 min interview
-Follow-up 30 min with new representative
-1 presentation that took roughly 2 hours to prepare and 10 minutes to deliver with 20 minutes for questions, followed by 3 more, 30 individual interviews
-Follow-up 30 min interview with more senior lead
While overall, quite a bit and a very lengthy process, each conversation had proved positive and allowed me to learn more about the role, while trying to share how I was a match.
Unfortunately while the last interview was being set-up I inquired about the interview timeline and what could be expected, but heard nothing back from the recruiter. After the final interview, I once again followed up with gratitude and overview, and heard nothing again. A week later I did a final follow-up and still nothing. After 6 individual interviews, and a presentation the company had straight up ghosted me, This was over a month ago and still no word.
While I understand that I may not have been a fit for the role, or that various things could have arisen, the lack of employee centric work and respect for my time, was very clear in the lack of communication and follow-up.
