Interview Scheduling - We attempt to give our candidates adequate notice of interview. If we arranged the interview 8 days in advance it would have been due to requiring a time that suited both candidate and manager. Sometimes our managers have committed events during the week and/or are on leave.
Hiring Manager late - While this is a rare occasion, I agree this is not ideal and do sincerely apologise as we understand that you cleared your diary for the interview. I also believe the manager apologised during your interview.
Assessment - For some roles (such as Data and/or Category Analyst) we do request a simple case study assessment. These assessments help us understand a candidates' technical and skill level (i.e., data analysis) and how a candidate would approach real-life scenarios.
References and medical assessment - These are standard requests.
Salary and timelines- Salary and timelines of the role were discussed in the interview stage multiple times (at least two) during the process so I would disagree with your comment here.
