I applied through am aggregate job search site and received a phone call within the week from a representative from HR. We then scheduled an onsite interview at the Rochester, MN location. My interview was with the IT manager and one other System Admin.
Upon arriving for my interview, I was told to fill out an additional application form (it would have been nice to get this ahead of time so as to not waste time and to avoid a lot of redundancy). Once the forms were completed (about 20-25 minutes) the IT manager greeted me at the front door and we went to, what will someday be, their conference room.
During the entire interview both the IT Manager and System Admin were on their phones, laptops, distracted, and not very attentive. The questions that they asked had little barring on the job I was being interviewed for. The IT Manager seemed to be more interested in talking to the System Admin about projects that he had either recently completed or they were in the middle of doing.
After the 'interview', they gave me a quick tour of the place and I was off on my way. About a week later I received a letter in the mail stating that they were pursuing other candidates. For a technology company, many of their hiring practices were very much out of date as evidenced by the additional application filled out on site and snail-mailed rejection letter.
