One-way video interview via Spark Hire for screening. Two week turnaround into a Zoom interview with committee, where they requested that candidates prepare a 7-minute presentation, followed by members of the committee taking turns to pose one question each. Final decision communicated via automated rejection email after another couple of weeks.
There was an employee in the position on an interim basis, and some committee members—who are, of course, the interim admin’s colleagues—were varying degrees of ambivalent, disengaged, or standoffish during the interview. Understandable, but it would be best if the College or HR simply promoted deserving interim employees instead of subjecting them, their colleagues, and other candidates to an unpleasant rigamarole where the interim candidate is being all-but-coronated and other candidates are being strung along.
