The job description states that, "Flexible and hybrid work schedules (this particular role can be remote)", and yet two hours before my interview, I am contacted by the recruiter who mentions that it's required that I reside in Toronto.
Even their own website states that as part of the benefits of working there "WFH (work from home)". Such contrary information received just prior to my interview obviously leaves me a bit anxious, no doubt I was jarred when I had my interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BuildOps
Interview
The first part of the interview process was meeting with the recruiter and going over my resume. There were a few questions about the job role and if I was able to do those tasks. That interview ended with scheduling a meeting for a 2nd interview with the CSM manager. That interview was more in depth on the job role and KPI’s that needed to be met. The interviewer asked more questions about my current role and experience as a CSM.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my current role as a CSM and what my typical day looks like.
The overall process was very positive and transparent. My recruiter was very helpful and overall I enjoyed my interactions in the later stages with the customer success team.
I came in unsure that startup culture was for me and I think the recent reviews and some of the responses to my questions reinforced that for me. Not a con of the interview process but didn't seem like a fit for me anyway.
