I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Builder.ai (Playa Vista, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
1. Applied online
2. Recruiter reached out to me about the position
3. Talked with her about the company, sounded interesting
4. Had a video interview with an employee who was nice but suspiciously new to the company
5. Was invited to come onsite
6. When I got onsite, half the interviewers I was supposed to be talking to were not present. It was for somewhat understandable reasons, but still felt sketchy and my interview was cut short.
7. I was told the company would be scheduling another video round to make up for those who were not able to attend the actual day of the interview. I accepted even though this would've taken more of my time.
8. With no warning, two days after the on-site I was contacted with a generic rejection email, with zero feedback or transparency regarding anything that had transpired. This was in spite of the fact that a recruiter verbally told me there would be another round.
During this whole process, the company came off as extremely unprofessional and I was shuffled between multiple recruiters. Would recommend others to avoid in the future.
