Interview
After a series of email exchanges, I was put in touch over the phone with various team members. Conversations were fairly in-depth, focusing largely on my skills, experience, and interests. After a few phone calls, I went in for an in-person interview with 3 members of the team. Though technically an interview, things somewhat evolved into just a strategic discussion about the challenges facing the role and the opportunities for process improvement. At no point did this feel too formal or rigid. The next step was supposed to be a case study (exchanged over email), where the company would provide examples of real-life obstacles and ask how I would approach each... but I withdrew prior to this step for personal reasons. Overall the team at Burrow was extremely welcoming and engaging. The depth of their process suggests that they are meticulous with who they select, which gave me even greater confidence in the potential for the brand/company. If the timing of other events in my life were different, I think I would love to work for this company.

Question 1
In a lot of instances we are called upon to make decisions on ambiguous or incomplete data, how comfortable are you in a situation like that and how would you approach finding a solution?

She liked my background and scheduled time for me to come in and meet with the hiring manager, who did not even have a good sense of what the role would even entail. He was dismissive of most of what I had to say and was not even prepared to have the interview. I never heard back from anyone which I find to be beyond unprofessional if you are going to bring someone in. In spite of frequent email follow ups, it went no where, but that doesn't stop the hiring manager from still looking at my LinkedIn frequently.
