I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at C&D Zodiac (Santa Maria, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
Sent my Resume online. Got contacted about 1 month later. Received a call to set a phone screen interview with recruiter. Phone interview was basic, going through resume, questions about experience, skills, knowledge about the job. Then, I was contacted by phone about a week later to set an interview in person. The company facilitated the air travel, hotel and a car rental, which was nice. I was taken to dinner by another engineer to a very nice place the first night. Second day in the morning I was interviewed, taken to lunch, toured around the facility, and finally taken to lunch.
After a week a received an email with the offer and 1 week to decide.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at C&D Zodiac (La Palma, CA) in Feb 2013
Interview
Phone screening first, then visit to the facility and they give you a very easy CATIA V5 where you have to create a few parts and assemblies, then a written Engineering Design Test where they ask what would you do in different scenarios, then you need to make a presentation of your past work.

Question 1
What material would you use in different scenarios.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at C&D Zodiac (La Palma, CA) in Jul 2012
Interview
My initial application was sent through a friend to the HR department. The response time was within a week, and the interview was a week after. The people that interviewed me were very friendly, and unlike other places I interviewed at, the first thing they did was take me on a tour of the shop floor. They explained what the position was and what the company did. The interview revolved mostly around my resume and past experiences as a recent graduate.

Question 1
The CATIA test was somewhat difficult, especially if you have never used the program before. Both modeling and drafting exercises were given.
