I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CARVANA (Phoenix, AZ) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was contacted by the Phoenix office for the Customer Advocate position. I had scheduled a phone interview a few days later, but the Recruiter never called. A few hours later, she e-mailed me back saying a meeting came up and we rescheduled. After my phone interview, the recruiter told me she'd call me back by Wednesday (it was a Monday) with a response. Wednesday cam and went and after sending a couple follow-up e-mails to her, she finally got back to me on Friday afternoon saying she was sorry for not getting back because she was busy with a job fair she did earlier in the week. After a few more days of silence and her apologizing for being sick, we finally made an appointment for my first round interview.
In the first round, I interviewed with four different people, two at a time and sat with a rep to hear a few of their calls. I got called back for a second round and interviewed with another person, who then decided I might fit in in a different department in the same office, so they scheduled yet another interview for me to speak to those managers. A week later, I interviewed with a new set of people.
Throughout the process, it was very difficult to get any grasp on my standing in the interview process and when it was going to stop. No one was keeping me informed on what was going on, especially when they decided to get me an interview for a different position. All in all, if I didn't want the job so badly, I wouldn't have put up with their unprofessional recruiting staff after the first week. This interview process wasted almost 4 weeks of my life and in the end it was like pulling teeth just to get them to tell me they were going to look for different candidates.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CARVANA (Tempe, AZ) in Oct 2024
Interview
Contacted via text on the interview process, and information was not clear on the interview process. Was not sure whom I was texting, and when I asked for a name, the individual did not provide a name so assumed I was texting chatbots. Texts claimed I would be interviewing in person with 2 hiring managers, however, after the interview ended with the 2 hiring managers ended up interviewing a separate time with higher-ups with a total of 4 people and for a total of an hour for the combined two interviews. Maybe this process didn't apply to everyone, but I did not appreciate the under-communication.

Interview
Straight forward, use STAR to answer any questions and be yourself. They basically ask about previous customer service experience and how you handle different situations. This position is on the road driving a truck so make sure you are comfortable with that.

Question 1
How have you handled a difficult customer experience?
Quick and Easy! The process took 2 weeks which was great! Interviewing should not take more then that as some companies will go as long as 2 months. Very happy with the process.
