      Interview

Me candidatei à vaga de Quest Designer Intern, contudo não fui adiante! Durante o processo foram extramente respeitosos e explicaram tudo! No primeiro momento enviei meu currículo e o meu portfólio, após isto foi feito uma entrevista!

      Interview

They contacted me after I applied for the job and asked me to create a game demo that would include a minimum of 1 main questline and 1 side quest. They provided a storybook to use as a reference for the quests. They gave me 2 weeks to complete the task. 3 weeks after the task deadline, they contacted me again to setup a meeting with 2 guys from the quest design team and someone from HR. They told me they were impressed with my demo and I thought the interview went well but I got a basic rejection mail a week later with no explanation or reason for the rejection. Overall it was a long and tedious process and in the end I got a negative response. And I can't even use the demo in my portfolio.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at CD PROJEKT RED (Kraków) in Dec 2018

      Interview

First contact was relatively quick, the test was easy but everything beyond that was tragically slow - 4 months slow. Constant delays only announced when i prodded them for news. Eventually i made a stand asking whether we'll be going with this anywhere or not and lo behold, an interview was scheduled immediately. During the second interview the HR person had my message printed and read it out loud to me like a school teacher who intercepted a student note, hoping to make me feel bad or embarrassed about having the audacity to complain about 4 months long recruitment process. Stating that "this kind of thing" is potentially bad for "team spirit" also posing indirect questions whether i intend to share my experience on sites like Glassdoor. Rest of the interview was relatively pleasant and it was confirmed my skills are sufficient as the test itself was passed on satisfactory level. In the end after 4 months i got declined the offer on the grounds of lacking "team work experience" (something you can determine based on CV during initial filtration, sparing both of us 4 months of wasted time). I also attempted to apply for internship assuming lack of experience was a valid reason for denial but was denied one based on supposed rule of "one application per year as a year is enough time to gain enough experience". Overall a soul-crushing and grueling experience. It's been a couple of years since it happened and to my knowledge the HR people involved no longer work there but it'll stay with me forever along with strong distaste for the company.
