Interview was later in the afternoon and interviewer was late. She explained that it had been a hectic day and I completely understood. There wasn’t much of a “getting to know you” or icebreakers/niceties to start, we just dove right in with questions related to my experience and the responsibilities of the role. The interviewer cut me off mid-sentence consistently and seemed to want to speed things up and rush me through the interview from the get-go. It felt as if she’d already decided I wasn’t a good fit before we started. I found her communication style to be aggressive and off-putting. I left the interview ready to withdraw my application. If an interviewer treats someone they have never met with disrespect, it tracks that they might be difficult to work with on the job. Disappointing.
