I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CLARA analytics in Nov 2024
Interview
The interviewer was cordial, polite and to the point. They decided to go in another direction because they wanted someone who had more data experience (?); I don't quite understand that but that's the way it goes.
But the reason for the thumbs down was when they asked about my future career aspirations, I mentioned I wanted to be a data scientist. I was that was a deal breaker because I would eventually want more money to stay with the company; that spoke volumes about the company.
Another downside to the company is they are based in California. If you elect to work for them, and you are a remote worker, you will be required to pay California state income tax, which is the highest in the nation.
It's probably a good thing I didn't make the cut.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me where I saw myself in the next 5 years.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CLARA analytics in Dec 2025
Interview
Took two to three weeks, with one SQL take home quiz. Hiring manager to team lead to meeting the team, back to the team lead. The face-to-face interviews consisted of basic questions typical of what you'd expect, based off past experiences and projects. The team meeting consisted of domain specific knowledge, but nothing too advanced.
