I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CSOSA (Washington, DC) in Feb 2022
Interview
I received a phone call asking if I was interested in an interview and requesting my writing sample. I confirmed my availability and emailed a writing sample (which was also attached to my application) and then I interviewed by zoom with three attorneys in the office and the paralegal.
It instantly felt like they did not know the details of the job announcement and the questions asked during the USAJobs application. It also felt they had not read my resume. These realizations definitely threw me off and affected my performance, but also let me know early on that it probably wasn't an office I'd be interested working in. It actually left me emotionally exhausted. I'd say just be prepared for anything and know you might be asked questions about things that you clearly have no experience in.
