Wanted to leave a note of caution interviewing with this company (6 formal interview calls). The process is lengthy but it’s laid out so you know what you are getting into. That’s the only positive attribute I can lend. Interviewers were late to almost every call, they were not prepared and had not viewed my resume before logging into the zoom call, and they were in several instances incredibly condescending and rude. I have 12 years of healthcare SaaS leadership experience and I have worked for large well known companies in the RCM and Practice Management sectors of healthcare software. I found the individuals I spoke with to be incredibly myopic and insular- unfamiliar with healthcare outside of their tiny footprint in the ecosystem. They seemed confused by my answers to questions and didn’t seem to grasp how my experience directly fit their needs. On several occasions I had to dumb down general areas of healthcare for them and instead of finding a common ground, their answers were extremely condescending as if it was my fault they understood nothing outside of patient monitoring.
After 6 conversations I received a generic email saying I was not moving forward based on a lack of experience for the role. Again I’ll state that I don’t feel the people I interviewed with had as much industry experience to the point they didn’t even understand mine. I do think that after a month and 6 calls it would have been nice to have detailed feedback that ultimately led to that stance. The HR employee offered to chat through it on the phone for 10 minutes and then promptly ceased communications never confirming the time. Working with their HR seemed organized at first, but I constantly had to chase down interview times, Zoom links, and had multiple reschedules because of cancellations. They don’t even send you calendar invites. They ask you to hold a time and then you have to follow up to get the link to log in.
If you’re looking for a start up with potential for career growth, maybe it’s Cadence. But I’m not in a place in my career where I welcome being belittled by people with less experience and vocal fry. They’ll get sold to a larger SaaS company soon. I would look elsewhere.
