The interview process took some time. I received a phone call interview from the recruiter and two video interviews from the hiring manager. The hiring manager and recruiter had encouraged me so much that I was going to get the job and the recruiter let me know that he would reach out to me if I got the job or not. He never reached back out to me and neither did the hiring manager despite emailing them asking for an update. I had to find out by a neighbor that the position was filled because they didn't have the common courtesy to let me know themselves despite all the effort I put into preparing for the job. This is a note to other recruiters and hiring managers to have more respect for your candidates by not taking the cowardly route by going ghost on them instead of sending a courtesy email thanking them for their time but deciding to proceed with someone else more qualified. I lost complete respect for this company, not because I didn't get the job but because they didn't respect me enough to communicate with me that they went with someone else. I would suggest to other potential candidates to think carefully about working for this company because if they don't have respect for their candidates this early, I can only imagine how they treat their employees.
