Interview
You need a couple good references because you are working with children, but otherwise they ask very little about you and the talk is primarily the person describing the camp and asking if you are still interested. It can be difficult to get the job if you apply for a popular position like football or lacrosse and much easier if you have a background in water sports (sailing, swimming or water skiing) and are willing to get a life guard certification.
