I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Cando Rail & Terminals (Nekoosa, WI) in Jul 2019
Interview
Was way to simple. This was Cando's first U.S. contract. They had been up and running in the U.S. for a month. They had to hurry and find two more New hires right away to replace two new hires from the original group that has already quit. T
They had to hire two people quick. Because the Domtar train crews were set to return to jobs in the Mill and Cando had brought down 8 or 9 employees from Canada to help with the transfer and they had to start returning back to Canada in the coming weeks.
As for me I applied thru Indeed on a fri, the following Monday I gotten a call from Jerry (the new supervisor who would over see both operations in Nekoosa and Rothschild). The interview last maybe 10 mins. And the end of it he asked me if I could start the following Mon. I had to tell I'd like to give my employer at the time a two weeks notice (I could here in his voice he wasn't happy with me doing that. But he understood). During the coming week I had two make a 1 hour 1/2 trip to Wausau on my day off to take the physical and vision test. Because the clinic only had locations in Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids area.
