I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Canonical (London, England) in Jun 2021
Interview
Quite long and involved interview process but that is well described right upfront.
1. Application review
2. Written submission (around 10 questions they ask you to answer in a written form)
3. Standardised aptitude and personality assessment
4. Culture fit and HR interview
5. Technical assessment
6. Team Interviews
7. Hiring manager interviews
I managed to get through steps 1-5 and was rejected after the technical assessment without much detail being provided, just a standard template email saying I will not be advancing further.
The people I have interacted with were all very friendly and accommodating. The interviews were not difficult at all, but obviously, I cannot comment about steps 6 or 7. The technical challenge was straightforward, a simple problem to code out and you need to provide a description of your work plan as well as timings.

Question 1
Technical assessment consistent of writing a simple command-line utility to parse some files.
It's an extremely long process that includes standardized tests, take home assignments, and several rounds of interviews. It was at least 5 rounds long and you interview across different teams.

Interview
They have a really long, tiring interview process. The first round was a written interview where I had to answer like 15 questions. Then a coding interview with 1 hour time that I could do anytime for 2 weeks. Then I had to take a personality test and they totally ghosted me.
The first round is a bunch of questions like 30 or so where you have to describe your expierence, personal and academical information. Then there is a asynch technical interview and a psychology test.
