I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Canonical (Gatineau, QC) in Feb 2024
Interview
Tedious written interview with +30 questions with irrelevant questions. The Canonical interview process is notoriously lengthy, involving multiple rounds of written assessments, personality tests, technical interviews, and an excessive focus on high school achievements, often spanning several months.

Question 1
Several questions about how can you proof that you were top 5% in math during high school
Extremely long and burdensome process with lots of irrelevant questions and tests that consume way too much time of everyone involved without bringing much real value in return.
It starts with a long form that asks even your GPA and gets down to your familiarity or sympathy for mathematics. Frustratingly long and cumbersome.
