I was interviewed by a very junior recruiter for a mid level position. As per her LinkedIn profile she must have been less than two years experience and just moved here from an Asian country (no racism intended, so I mentioned continent and not country or race). She was trying to teach a person with close to 15 years experience how SQL works. Very disappointed. Am a big fan of Melanie and Chris for their contributions to tech and Australia. But it's become such a big organization and I am sure they don't realize or are aware of the blunders their employees are making in front of outsiders. Disappointed that I didn't even make it to the second round as I am a big fan of Melanie and Chris and because I have past FAANG experience. I generally am not a person who over estimates personal capabilities. I honestly wish the best for Canva and their contributions to Australian tech.
