I send my CV and got an email from a recruiter an hour later. She was talking about setting up a time to “have a chat”. I prepared for an HR interview but then on the day it turned out to be a technical pre screening. I didn’t nail it, I wasn’t prepared for it. When I interviewed for Google those two were separated. I understand that Canva really need to filter their candidates, but the recruiter could have told me more about the process beforehand, could have had more interest in me as a person and overall could have handled the situation much better. I found a job a week later where the recruitment process didn’t make me feel like an idiot.
