I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (Richmond, VA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Had a phone interview then scheduled an in person interview. Basically had to take the day off from my current job. I was at the Carmax location for about 6 hours. Several computer tests consisting of hundreds of questions. Then several 1 on 1 interviews and several panel interviews. I thought that most of the interviews had gone really well. I felt a little weak with one of the 1 on 1 interviews, but thought I had the position for the most part. Didn't get the job. I asked the recruiter if he could tell me why so I may be able to correct for the next time and was told that one of the interviewers didn't think some of my answers were detailed enough.
Was referred. Phone Interview lasted 40 mins. Recruiter was personal and allowed me to speak of my experience and skill set relevant to the job I was applying for. Didn’t feel rushed.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CarMax (Kennesaw, GA) in Jan 2016
Interview
The process is long. You'll take a long test, speak with a recruiter for at least an hour. You'll be brought in for an all day interview. 3 panel interviews and 1 lunch with possible peers. They took a while to make an offer.
