I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Carpenter Technology (Raleigh, NC) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was okay. A total of 3 interviews. The first interview will be a phone screening telling you about the job and asking about your background. The second interview will be a panel interview just asking about your experience why are you interested. The final interview will be a panel interview with the manager and supervisors asking about how your experience and asking questions about your ability to multitask.

Multitasking is a big part of the job. Give an example of a time you had to multitask.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Carpenter Technology (Clearwater, FL) in Aug 2025
Interview
I went through a series of four virtual interviews and one on-site interview. I emailed each interviewer personally to thank them for their time and share my appreciation for the specific conversations that were had. They reassured me that it is not normally so intensive and that they were very impressed with my qualifications but at the end of this drawn out process they chose a different candidate without notice. When they didn’t reach out after my on-site interview, I called and emailed them to reiterate my interest in working with them at which point they informed me of their decision not to move forward with my application. All said and done it was extremely taxing and disappointing.

Question 1
They asked questions about my understanding of AS9001 as it related to my experience on my resume.
This was one of the most disappointing interview experiences I’ve encountered in my Talent Acquisition career. The process involved nine different interviewers, yet there was no follow-up or communication afterward—not even a formal notice of declination. Scheduling was disorganized and inefficient, and my interaction with the Chief Human Resources Officer left a particularly negative impression due to a lack of professionalism. Overall, the experience reflected poorly on the organization and raised serious concerns about its internal culture and candidate experience. I would strongly encourage the company to re-evaluate its hiring practices.
