I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Catalyze Group (Amsterdam) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very long process: applied online, then was asked to submit a video descibring my motivation, then had a 1h-call with HR about the company and with questions about my experience. At the end of the call, it was suggested to me there were other candidates further in the interviewing process that they had preference for. Three weeks later HR offered another call, similar to the first one but touching on salary expectations and even commuting costs. A week later an interview was planned. The interview was with the company director and the team leader, and included a client case to discuss. Had I passed, there'd still be another interview with business cases.

Question 1
Why are you leaving academia? Can you give us an example of a difficult moment at work and how you overcame it? What makes you stressed? For the client case: what is the core innovation? What title would you give to this proposal? What is better or worst than the competitors?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Catalyze Group (Amsterdam) in Aug 2022
Interview
The interview process consists of two to three stages, starting with a conversation with a recruiter, followed by interviews with management. The questions are very concrete, mainly aimed at assessing motivation and gaining a deeper understanding of the candidate. The overall setting is relaxed.

Simulation of a converssation with a potential client
Easy being in touch with the recruiter via email and we had one interview after which I decided to not pursue this role as it did not align with what I was looking for .
