I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Cenfri
Interview
There were two rounds of interviews. The first was a telephonic screening interview to test motivation, fit with the team, experience and other CV related questions, while the second interview was a more intense process which tested economic thinking, teamwork, motivation and fit (with more senior staff) and then also required a series of tests.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cenfri in Jul 2025
Interview
Comfortable setting with very competent members of staff. Interview was a good balance of experience, technical knowledge and personal goals. Some time was given to answer more difficult questions which helped make the interview feel less stressful.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Question 1: In your opinion, what are the factors a government should think about when considering the legalisation or decriminalising of soft drugs (in this case, let's say the soft drug is marijuana)?
Question 2: Digital lending is a major phenomenon in East Africa, particularly, but increasingly elsewhere too. What are the some of the benefits and downsides of digital lending - particularly when it comes to low value credit?
The process was lengthy - there was a screening call, followed by a panel interview, followed by short set of tasks, followed by a final interview where the last candidates all met each other and had to complete a group exercise.
