The HR team and recruiter were genuinely professional,and communicative throughout the process. They represent the organization well.
Cons:
The interview with senior leadership including the CEO was disappointing. They were late, they joined without cameras and without acknowledging or apologizing for the technical setup, except for the HR representative. When I asked strategic questions about navigating the role and the organization's direction, the response felt dismissive rather than engaging — suggesting if I have read their website I should have known the answer - rather than addressing the substance of the question.
Overall:
I have genuine respect for CISDI's mission and impact work. However, the interview experience with senior leadership did not reflect the professionalism I expected from an organization of this caliber. Candidates invest significant time preparing — mutual respect during the interview process matters.
Advice to Management:
Consider how senior leadership represents the organization's culture during candidate interactions. First impressions matter both ways.
