I applied online. I interviewed at Cepheid (Sunnyvale, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
The process included a phone screen, hiring manager interview, and 5 back to back video interviews (interviewed during Covid). The person coordinating the interviews was from an outside company.
The team was friendly and overall seems like the employees care about what they do there at Cepheid. The interviews seemed pretty standard and talked a lot about what was on my resume.
I was really excited to hear back about this opportunity but was ghosted. I saw the job posting relisted the week following my interview, but didn't get any communication from Cepheid. I had to follow up to find that the hiring manager, "moved in a different direction". Although I was rejected, I still think they would be a worthwhile company to work for and overall, the experience was still enjoyable and a positive learning opportunity.
I applied online, received a phone screen from the manager, then went into the office for in-person interviews. This was a series of interviews by pairs of interviewers—members of team and manager

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cepheid (Sunnyvale, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interview process began with a recruiter interview, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After passing those levels I was given an on-site interview with managers and peers. There was a minor hiccup, but nothing major.
