      Account Executive Interview

      11 May 2022
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Certinia (London, England)

      Interview

The process is quite generic. 1/ meet with a recruiter, give more information about yourself, they may ask why you are considering leaving, what is your sales performance like and what are you looking for. 2/ Meet the hiring manager 3/ Panel interview I’ve met the best recruiter ever at FinancialForce. She understood very well the compensation plan which most recruiters don’t know, she was very communicative and always clear with deadline and expected timelines. You also get the chance to meet upper management which is really nice as well. Tip: do ask for a few meetings with sales people so you can get a better understanding of the role. Or even better, look them up on LinkedIn and ask the recruiter to meet with an AE. It will help you to make a well informed decision and also get an impression how life as an AE is like at FinancialForce.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Certinia in Oct 2021

      Interview

The process with the recruiter went well. The recruiter was kind and professional. After this, I was set to interview with two different sales managers back to back. I finished the interview with the first hiring manager. The interview with the first manager was extremely unprofessional. The manager wasn’t listening to most of what I was saying, didn’t review my resume, and didn’t seem interested in any way. The manager had zero organization and openly kept saying he didn’t have structure for what he wants to talk about in the interview. I’m in the process with about a dozen SaaS companies right now and I’ve achieved quotas much higher than what they’re asking for. I’ve never had an interview as unprofessional as this one. My wife was sitting nearby listening to the entire thing and was telling me to not go with a sales org that feels more like a Frat than a professional sales org. I had to drop before the second manager came on due to a medical emergency and I emailed them to state this. 5 minutes later I’m met with an email saying that the first manager didn’t approve of me because I “didn’t close him”. Which makes zero sense when I was already set to talk to another manager immediately after, and the next manager was the one managing the territory I’d be in.
