Job description didn't match the questions they asked. They seemed like they wanted someone just to help with small things around the office. But posted an IT intern position. Though, the work environment seemed nice.

Interview
Interviewer was 15 minutes late, interview was pretty standard asking semi technical questions, but mostly questions you will never need to know off the top of your head in day to day
My interview experience with Charles IT was much longer and more convoluted than expected. Over the course of 2-3 months, I was shifted between different roles without clear explanation or direction. Despite being transparent about my background and goals, I was never given a real say in what I was being considered for. Communication was inconsistent, and at times, it felt like decisions were being made reactively rather than with a structured hiring strategy.
Beyond the interview process, the company culture is high-energy and all-encompassing, which can be appealing for the right person but may not be the best fit for those looking for long-term balance and stability.
There’s a strong emphasis on engagement, and success here seems to depend less on experience and more on full alignment with the company’s philosophy. While the organization offers attractive perks, it’s important to consider whether the overall environment supports sustainable growth.
It’s also worth noting that balanced, honest feedback about the interview process doesn’t seem to be as visible as you might expect, which raises some questions about how openly differing perspectives are received. If you’re considering a role here, I highly recommend doing your own external research in order to get a full perspective. For a broader sense of the company’s reputation, checking reviews on Reddit and Indeed may also provide useful insights—you’ll find similar sentiments.
