The first interview was with the talent acquisition manager. It was scheduled for 30 minutes, but ran for about 45-50 minutes in total. I was asked standard questions about my skillset and a few behavioral questions. There was no time allotted for me to ask questions at the end. I was told the next step in the process was an assessment. I received the assessment the next day. The assessment itself had nothing to do with talent acquisition and took me about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Afterward, I sent an email to the recruiter that sent it to me to confirm that I completed it and they confirmed receipt. After that - RADIO SILENCE. I gave it a full week before following up with the recruiter about next steps and still no response. Advice to the hiring team - the job market is already rough enough, don't waste people's time. It takes less than a minute to send a rejection email.
