Chartwell Hospitality interview questions

I was contacted a couple of days after I applied to come in for a in person interview. Interview was brief but interviewer wasn't sure about the pay and also asked for three references. There seemed to also be a lot of talk about how much money could be made and that they have a family environment.I was contacted about scheduling for round two of interviewing but interviewer didn’t confirm pay despite me asking. I believe she was waiting for me to give references before she confirmed the actual pay rate. I ended up finally the confirmed pay rate from the director whom I was going to be interviewing with next. My second interview was another in person which they seemed be rushing to get scheduled but if that was the case why didn’t I just do the second round while I was there the first time. Especially considering the first interview was only 15 minutes. I scheduled the 2nd interview but it was cancelled the day of because they went with a different candidate. Definitely a lot of red flags.
