I always wanted to work for Chick-Fil-A because I had friends who worked there and said it was fun and a nice experience. Because of that I applied online, and the next day I received a call asking when I can come in for an interview which turned out to be the next day. Showed up happy and motivated to do my best, but the store owner who interviewed me had no interested at all. Mind you I have had interviewed for another Chick-Fil-A position and the owner there paid little to no attention at all, and was even checking their phones during interview! And sort of brushed me off when I tried to make small talk. But this newest interview, I had hope. But what do you know, the owner almost acted the same way if not worse. It was like he was just hanging out during the interview. He was sort of laying sideways in the booth looking around giving no attention whatsoever. It seemed as if they pre-determined who got the job already, and I was just wasting my time. Extremely unprofessional, promised to call in 2 days to notify me if they were to hire me or not hire me, and heard nothing. After calling 3 separate times and being given the run around from managers promising a call back the next day, it took the 3rd call for them telling me the position has already been filled. Maybe they were just hinting to tell me I didn't get it, or they didn't like me. But I would think someone who was very interested in working there and showed persistence, they would notice. Practically spoke to every manager who worked there.
I could've stopped by in-person, but it seemed as if they weren't welcoming of new people or just plain rude.
Enough ranting, besides that if you are reading this, go into the interview and create small talk to feel out how the interview will be. If they're very bland and boring, you need to step it up a notch and act extremely fake and more confident than usual. If they seem cool and interested, be yourself and ask great questions.
Overall, extremely negative experience. Seemed like they want a perfect interview for an entry-level fast food job. Good luck and hope you don't get such a negative interview like I did.
