I applied online. I interviewed at Christie Clinic
Interview
I applied for a Health Information Technician position at the Bloomington, IL, office, and then a few weeks later, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. The phone interview was a bit lengthy, but fine. I'm told I would hear from the hiring manager by the end of that week. Never heard from them. A month goes by, and then I out of nowhere get an email from the recruiter asking me what my availability is for an interview with the hiring manager. I respond with my availability, and guess what? 3 weeks have passed and I still haven't heard anything back. It's no wonder this place is always hiring if they are this disorganized and have such poor communication (not to mention the terrible pay).

Question 1
Do you have any experience working in a medical office?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Christie Clinic (Champaign, IL) in Jun 2021
Interview
The interview process started off professional with HR, but once the in-person interview occurred it no longer felt professional. The interviewer was not prepared, meaning, she had not reviewed my resume and background. Did not have any printed material with her or ability to take any notes.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Christie Clinic (Champaign, IL) in Dec 2019
Interview
Long, tedious but not hard. I had an in person interview with different department employees. I then had to job shadow for 3 hours. This consisted of me just sitting there watching the employees take phone calls for 3 hours (unpaid). I found this to be slightly over the top for a receptionist position. Overall, the interviews were not hard and everyone was really nice and it was very conversational in tone. The shadowing was the only thing I was not a big fan of.
