I had an extremely poor experience with the recruitment process at Chrysalis Kids Whitefield. After my initial interview, I was informed by the Curriculum Head, Ms. Deepti, that I had performed well and would soon be contacted by HR. A month passed with no update. When I followed up on May 15th, I was asked to return for a second round of demo and interview, and to submit my previous employment documents, which I did.
On that same day, I received a confirmed offer from another school offering ₹18k per month plus transportation. I transparently shared that I needed to save at least ₹18k after travel expenses and was told by Chrysalis to wait, as I was “selected.” Ms. Deepti assured me that HR would call me by Monday.
After waiting another three days with no communication, I called the school again on May 22nd. I was told, “We can’t give you the offer because we couldn’t match your expectations.” I reminded them that they had asked me to decline another job offer. Shockingly, the receptionist laughed and said, “Sorry, we couldn’t meet your expectation,” with complete disregard for the professional and personal impact.
Pros: None
Cons:
• Lack of communication
• Misleading assurances
• No accountability
• Disrespectful behavior from staff
Advice to Management: Please be honest and respectful toward candidates. If you’re unable to offer a position, communicate that clearly and in a timely manner. Professionalism matters—especially in an educational institution.
