I had the initially call to which I was told we had a good fit. I waited a few weeks for the next stage, the interview went well and once again was informed I'd make a great fit. The next stage required an assignment and the email read "this task is designed to give us a better understanding of your skills and approach to problem-solving" and "Please complete and submit the assignment by Friday. After we have reviewed your work, we will schedule a discussion to delve deeper into your assignment and further explore your fit for the role".
I was given this assignment on Wednesday and by Wednesday evening is was completed. It was quite simple for me, an assignment I would typically see on a day-to-day basis in my current role, so it took me around an hour to explain in detail everything they were asking for.
I thought at this time that I would at least receive a response the following day or the next day to say thank you for completing the assignment so promptly and they would be in touch in the following days.
I heard nothing the first week, I thought to myself, that's OK, I am sure I will hear something on Monday. I heard nothing. I waited until Wednesday and on Wednesday I reached out to say it has been a week, I wonder if they had received it. The response I received was "Please give me today's time. It is still in the review right now." No thank you for completion, no apologies for the the delay, but that's OK, I politely responded "No problem, thanks". Manners cost nothing.
So the rest of the day passes, still nothing. Into Thursday, still nothing. Into Friday, still nothing. Finally, the following Monday arrives and I receive the following: "I hope this message finds you well. Thank you for taking the time to interview with us for the Senior Integrations analyst - API role at Cint.
We sincerely appreciate your interest in the position and the effort you put into the interview process. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we have decided to proceed with other candidates whose qualifications more closely align with our current needs.
Please know that this decision was not easy, but we can only progress a certain amount of individuals to the next step.
We genuinely value the opportunity to connect with talented individuals like yourself. Your application and interview experience with us have been noted, and we encourage you to explore future opportunities that match your skills and career aspirations."
Copy and pasted response, a job I could have been very competent with, as it is almost identical to my current role and just a really superficial feeling from the whole experience.
I feel as though my time was not respected, the company is hiring HR staff with absolutely no passion for their work nor a care for people.
