Then told after all that that they weren't sure if they had the hiring budget to bring me on board, and they'd know better in a month. They never followed up and did not respond to queries for updates. The people and the company all seemed great, but wasting both mine and their own employees time on such an extensive hiring process and then realizing that it wasn't in the budget speaks to some pretty deep dysfunction.
