      I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2015

      Interview

      The interview was conducted by 2 Cisco employees at the University. The interview lasted for about 55 mins. Questions were completely based on the resume. No in depth technical questions were asked. The questions were about the various projects written in the resume.

      The hiring process was standard. The hiring manager called for quick introduction that lasted for about 10 minutes. Next step was the interview process on site, that went on for about 4 hours. I was interviewed by 5 team members and they asked questions related to my past experience in Asic design(for the most part) They asked minor questions on the different types of memory.

      I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Cisco

      Applied online, Phone interview followed by 3 onsite( 2 hours each ). The interview took exactly one week got the offer and started working the following week. Keep a right attitude and be positive. Very important never get desperate about the job.

      Phone inetrview , they majorly targeted my resume (Skills , projects, previous work experience). Did ask a few logic design questions setup hold, nand gate etc. Onsite was not that bad asked on Sync/Asyns FIFO design (had to write verilog code- explain corner cases), state machines (detect a sequence), 4-5 Puzzels, Verilog questions.
