      Team Lead Interview

      17 Jun 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Cisco (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Very communicative, straightforward, but very difficult. This was for a thought leadership role, and the interviewer was asking some high level questions that required existing, deep expertise in the space.

      Team Leader Interview

      27 Apr 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Cisco

      Interview

I had two interviews. Both interviews I was told to apply for a lesser job than what I had applied for which would have been > 30k pay decrease as well as a lower title than I hold at my current job. At the 27 minute mark, i was told I didn't have the qualifications - I did based on the job title - I was told that if I wanted to be part of Cisco I would have to apply for the lesser of the two jobs. It was like both people that interviewed me didn't even bother to review my resume. I was quite clear on my salary expectations and job role. Further, I had to reschedule both interviews. Not a fan of this company's hiring practices. If you have someone picked for a job already, lead with that, don't waste my time.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru) in Feb 2016

      Interview

They called for the interview process at 10am in the morning and nobody came to ask from HR team till about 11am. Then went into another building and had to wait until another hour and a half then HR came and enquirers for what reason I was waiting, when he comes to know about interview I have been waiting he runs around and fixes a person for interview who from start doesn't look like he really interested. For the formality he takes half an hour interview and says to wait. HR doesn't respond to call and after an hour he says you can leave for the day.
