Cisco User Experience Designer - New Grad interview questions

Applied online. Recruiter got back to me within a week and scheduled a video call with two designers. Conversation went well and I was giving an assignment to do with another interview with a design lead the following week. Due to personal circumstances at the time I was not in a good place mentally and did poorly on my assignment. The 2nd interview was very professional despite the fact that my assignment was sub-par and I was ill-prepared for the interview. Received an email declining to proceed a few days later. I'm writing because the Oslo-based recruiter was very fast to respond, and the design team I interviewed with twice were very professional despite my own poor performance. Based on my interaction with them I feel I missed out on a great opportunity. I wish them all the best.
