Initial talk with recruiter was great, she was very helpful, informative and took the basic information. In-person interview was less than I had hoped. Interviewer felt dismissive, and couldn't get me out of the door fast enough. Felt like she didn't want ot be there or answer my questions. Ultimately was ghosted and never heard anything back from them, even months later. From the reviews though and the attitudes of the management, it was easy to tell this isn't a place I'd want to work.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at City Lifestyle (Kansas City, MO)
Interview
Recruiter interview was par for the course in that they get a lot of info about you but only a little about the job.
In person interview was fine and conversational. Not coding based, but discussed programming strategies etc.
They have you do a culture index online. It’s two parts with a “word” association to describe yourself as you see yourself, etc. Second test reminded me of those tests from the 1990s they give kids to test their IQ.
Up to this point was a fine experience. However, after the interview was 100% ghosted. No follow-up even after emailing them directly. I just find it ironic that for a company priding itself on kindness and good culture fits would completely ignore candidates that came into the office (taking time off of work) for an interview.
