Absurdly lengthy process for what was being offered. There are 4 interviews. All of which are an hour long with question after question after question. No conversation. Just a battery of questions and furious note taking by the interviewers. They give you roughly 2 minutes at the end of the interview to ask questions. Come on.
I was not given a clear indication as to what the product was at any point in the process. I was told in my second interview that it had to do with data.
I did not meet the hiring manager until the 4th and final interview ( a full month into interviewing). That's crazy. It shouldn't be a month into this process not knowing what the product is and not having met the hiring manager.
The decline was first "we went with someone with skills more closely related to the role." This is odd because the skills interview was the second interview. That should have been the point at which skills determined progression in the process.
When pressed, the feedback was "it came down to splitting hairs among candidates". Again, not useful or remotely thoughtful feedback and shows a total disrespect for the time candidates invested in this backwards process.
