After interviewing with the Senior Recruiter, I was passed onto the hiring manager. The interview with the hiring manager was only two questions. Following that interview, I was sent a work sample assignment, which required more than 10 hours of work. After submitting the sample and not hearing anything for more than a week, I sent a request for an update, to which I received a reply that said "there must have been a glitch in the system and I should have been notified earlier that I was no longer in consideration." I felt the lack of acknowledgement and communication after requesting a lengthy amount of work was disrespectful. As a company built to sell a product promoting immediate feedback for students, Classkick needs to live the same principle through its hiring practices. It doesn't take much to acknowledge the amount of work that requested in a work sample; however it is disrespectful to candidates to ask for hours of free time and ideas and then not respond or thank them for their effort. I also don't think you can judge a candidate by two questions and a work sample that is not given the opportunity of presentation. Classkick - you're missing the boat on your hiring practices and it's unfortunate because you've got great examples right in front of you with the product that you're selling. You need to live your own mission.
