I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals in Apr 2026
Interview
Exhausting 1.5-month process ending in a generic rejection and string of excuses. Do not trust their word. The Interview Process:
The interview process lasted a month and a half and consisted of multiple stages: an initial HR screening, a tedious 7-question recorded video assessment via their internal portal, a hiring manager interview, and an interview with the COO.
Throughout the entire process, the feedback was consistently positive. Before the final stage, HR explicitly told me I was the "only candidate left for the role" but required me to complete a final task before receiving an offer.
After submitting the task, the communication completely broke down. I was dragged along for two weeks with a string of excuses—ranging from internal illness to my task being sent across the world to their Melbourne and Singapore offices for review. Ultimately, after all that investment of my time and work, I received a generic, automated "No" with absolutely zero detailed feedback.
Advice to Management / HR:
Respect candidates' time and stop leading them on. Telling a candidate they are the sole choice just to extract a free task, only to ghost them for weeks and give a generic rejection, is incredibly unprofessional. Treat applicants with transparency rather than hiding behind endless excuses.
Pros:
None. The process revealed a disorganized and disrespectful hiring culture.
Cons:
Disorganized and incredibly lengthy recruitment process (1.5 months).
Extracting final tasks under the guise of an imminent offer.
Poor communication, constant excuses, and zero constructive feedback at the end.
you are required to talk to a PC for the first round interview. it is not friendly to a person not talking to himself. every qn got 3 times try, only 2min for answers.

Interview
Was asked to do a case study but it just seems like an attempt to exploit candidates for free consulting, and then reject you with vague feedback after you presented your full proposal.
