I reached out after I saw a posting on a local job board and just wanted to inquire if they were still looking to hire for that position. I received an email back asking what my salary requirements are and that they would like to set up an interview. The person conducting my interview could not have been less interested in talking to me. The entire thing was less than 10 minutes and they didn’t even give me the basic outline of the job description (granted, it was laid out in the posting, but going in depth would have been nice.) When I asked the questions I had for them at the end of the interview, again no enthusiasm or interest on their end. I was told
I’d hear back within a week to set up an in person interview and that they were “looking to fill the position quickly”. I emailed them about a week later and thanked them for their time and just asked if I was still being considered, but didn’t receive a response. Overall, it put a bad taste in my mouth and turned me off from the company all together. If their employees aren’t excited about their brand, prospective candidates won’t be either.
