The phone interview itself was fine overall, with a quick walkthrough of my résumé and a few behavioral questions, just like a standard interview process. However, the lack of professionalism from the interviewer stood out. I know it’s common for interviewers to use a question list, but I felt it would have been better not to make that so explicit. He repeatedly said things like “let me check my list” or “let’s move on to the next question on the list,” which was confusing and disrupted the flow of the conversation. Even with the list, he didn’t seem very familiar with the process, often pausing to figure out what to ask next and apologizing for the breaks. He also looked up my linkedin profile during the interview to ask question on my background, wasn't these research happened before you carry out an interview? At the end, he even forgot my name and had to go back to check, leaving an awkward blank in the conversation. I haven’t heard back from them, which doesn’t surprise me given how the interview went.
