Telephone interview with a HR advisor followed by a 4 hour assessment which involved an array of tasks. Comleting a role play coaching excercise with an under-performing researcher which lasted 30 minutes. An 'in-tray excercise" which detailed three different management scenarios that you had to write how to action them, we were given two hours to complete this. Followed by a competency based interview. I was then short-listed again and invited back for a final competency based interview with the centre manager.
